Thank you, Steve Jobs, for giving me no reason to upgrade my 1st generation iPod touch to the newly released 3rd gen model. I was afraid that if the rumors about the 3rd gen iPod touch gaining the iPhone 3GS camera (with video) had been correct, I would have been compelled to upgrade to the latest model for that feature alone. Instead, I can remain content with my trusty old iPod touch with no shades of envy for the new model.
However, Mr. Jobs, you are pretty cunning in getting my interest piqued in the new iPod nano (5th gen) as a potential new digital video camera instead of a Flip. It seems as though we may have another new iPod yet, even if it is only mostly used to make quick video posts for Facebook (and perhaps other sites). So again, thank you, Steve Jobs, for inevitably tempting me with your products, though not in the way I expected.
