Hi-ho hi-ho, it’s back to work I go… after a full week of vacation. It went by as fast as vacation time usually is wont to do, but it was time very well spent.
L and I made it a memorable by hitting PAX (not People Against Xylophones, but Penny Arcade Expo) for the first time this year. The weather in Seattle was marvelous and the convention itself was… well, it was a gamer’s paradise. We didn’t get to do half the things we wanted to (play the Dragon Age: Origins demo, attend Wil Wheaton’s panel, try some new board and roleplaying games) but we still had a blast (being entertained by the Bungie staff and Tim Schafer, taking in the show floor and buying stuff, and playing in a silly casual Magic: the Gathering tournament).
So, vacation’s over and it’ll be at least under year until we hit another PAX, but I’m not too down about it. After all, it’s only two work days to the weekend! (Here’s to planning ahead and taking a mid-week to mid-week vay-kay!)
